Vail extends partnership with Switzerland’s Verbier

Vail Resorts, Inc. is now selling its popular Epic Pass for the 2013-2014 ski and ride season and has announced an extension on its partnership with Verbier, Switzerland. Last September, Vail Resorts launched the partnership with Verbier that enhanced the value of the “Epic Pass,”providing three days of free access to the Verbier ski resort, for new and renewing 2012-2013 Epic Pass holders. Now, Vail is further enhancing the value of the pass by extending the number of days of free access to Verbier from three to five. In addition to unlimited, unrestricted skiing and riding at eight world-class mountain resorts in the United States, Epic Pass holders have the opportunity to extend their winter from the US to Europe for the second consecutive year, and experience the Verbier resort, Switzerland. Vail offers three ski passes, the Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass, and Epic 7-day, designed to suit the needs of all skiers based on which resorts they want to ski and for how many days. Those purchasing a pass by April 14 are guaranteed to lock in the lowest price for the 2013-2014 ski and ride season. “Vail Resorts continues to look for opportunities to enhance the incredible value of the Epic Pass that our European guests already receive and enjoy. Following the success of our partnership with Verbier this season, we’re excited to be able to extend the number of free days access for the 2013-2014 season from three to five,”said Kirsten Lynch, executive vice-president and chief marketing officer for Vail Resorts. “Epic Pass holders already enjoy an incredible experience with unlimited, unrestricted access to Vail Resorts’ seven world-class resorts in the United States, including Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood, as well as Arapahoe Basin, but the addition of world-class skiing in Switzerland makes the Epic Pass even more compelling for our international guests.”Travellers can also save up to 33% off lodging at Vail’s premier properties, including The Lodge at Vail, A RockResort; The Arrabelle at Vail Square, A RockResort; The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Vail; and Austria Haus, when booking six nights or more by Oct. 31. The deal is available exclusively to Vail Resorts’ international guests when booked through Vail’s preferred travel partners, listed at http://www.snowusa.com.au .
