YOU CAN PLAY

Corporate Travel Management Solutions (ctms) has partnered with the You Can Play Project, an organization that works to guarantee that athletes are given a fair opportunity to compete, judged by other athletes and fans alike, only by what they contribute to the sport or their team’s success. Tom Osovitzki, CEO of ctms, said: “It is a very exciting opportunity for ctms to work with You Can Play – a group of passionate and inspirational individuals who are really making a difference. We look forward to helping You Can Play streamline their travel requirements so they can focus on their mandate of ensuring equality, respect and safety for all athletes.” The You Can Play Project, co-founded by Philadelphia Flyers scout Patrick Burke, celebrated its one-year anniversary on March 4, 2013. From its inception, it has had tremendous support from the hockey community and beyond. Co-founder Brian Kitts is a former front office executive with the NHL Colorado Avalanche. Glenn Witman, a third co-founder, played college hockey and founded the elite gay sports league, GForce Sports. NHL players Tommy Wingels and Andy Miele, and former NHL general manager Brian Burke all serve on You Can Play’s advisory board. Over 100 professional hockey players have voiced their support for gay teammates and have been joined by athletes from numerous sports representing approximately 20 NCAA organizations. You Can Play’s Brian Kitts said: “All of us at You Can Play are proud to be working with ctms. The commitment of ctms to all sports, diversity and inclusion for all athletes, and to working with philanthropic groups is an important model for corporate partnerships. We’re honoured to partner with ctms.” Go to http://www.ctmstravel.com or visit http://www.youcanplayproject.org for additional information.
