Lite Hotels, a division of Aqua Hospitality, www.aquahospitality.com), has announced the promotion of Hilmy Dole to general manager for the beachfront Kauai Sands Hotel. Dole joined Aqua in June 2012 as hotel manager. He has more than 20 years of experience in the visitor industry and Kauai, having opened the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa in 1989. ANDAZ MAUI AT WAILEA TO OPEN THIS SUMMER
The six-hectare Hyatt Andaz Maui at Wailea, situated on Maui's Mokapu Beach, is slated to open this summer. Manuel Butler, director general of Tourspain (Spain) has been elected president of the European Travel Commission (ETC) at its 84th general meeting in Dublin (Ireland) recently. Butler succeeds Petra Hedorfer of the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) for a three-year term.
