Fairmont Scottsdale breaks ground on new conference centre
Determined to give guests a distinctive Southwest meeting destination, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess has broken ground on a new conference centre. It will add 4,800 square metres of indoor meeting space to the new Palomino Ballroom. Set to debut in November, the new US$20 million conference centre will give the resort a total of 14,000 square metres of event space. Above and Beyond Alaska was recently awarded a 10-year permit by the U.S. Forest Service to operate guided day trips to the Pack Creek area of Admiralty Island, which has one of the highest concentrations of brown bears in the world.
