ACV Invites Agents To Hit The Road
Air Canada Vacations (ACV) has just the ticket for travel agents. In October and November, ACV will conduct a series of four “Mega Fams” in Mexico and the Caribbean. TravelBrands held its fourth annual Charity Golf Classic in support of SickKids yesterday (Sept. 7) at Eagles Nest Golf Club in Maple, raising a whopping $252,500 for the hospital's Labatt Family Heart Centre. This brings the total raised by TravelBrands in the last four years to more than $713,000. The event, which attracted 140 golfers, was a day of golf, food, drinks, prizes and celebrations, and even included a Million Dollar Shootout (which no one won) and a Helicopter Ball Drop. Sunwing Update – Eastern Cuba
Sunwing continues to closely monitor Hurricane Irma and its impact on the destinations that it operates to. Eastern Cuba is now under a hurricane watch and tropical storm warning. The Cuban Government has prioritized evacuation from the cayos (or islands) where we currently have customers: Cayo Coco and Cayo Santa Maria. Sunwing indicates that it was also informed that all airports in the affected region were closed at 5 pm yesterday evening (Thurs., Sept. 7). Hola Sun Cancels Flights
Due to Hurricane Irma, Hola Sun has cancelled all Southbound flights scheduled from today (Sept. 8) to Sept. 10 and implemented its hurricane policy. Agents can contact the operator's call centre at 905-882-9445 with any questions regarding their clients who were suppose to depart this weekend.
