Lynx Air operated its first flight from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (Hamilton International) recently marking the commencement of its twice-weekly return services to Calgary International Airport and twice-weekly return services to Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Global Air Travel Set To Recover 65% In Q3
In a new report, produced for the World Travel Market (WTM) by ForwardKeys, it reveals that in the third quarter of the year -- July, August and September -- global air travel is set to reach 65% of where it was before the pandemic in 2019. Dealing With The Surge
In an effort to deal with the surge in travel, Air Canada has announced that it's reducing its schedule by on average, 77 roundtrips (or 154 flights) per day in total for July and August. Those changes began yesterday (June 29). Prior to this, Air Canada operated on average about 1,000 flights a day. Three routes will be temporarily suspended between Montreal and: Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Kelowna and one from Toronto to Fort McMurray. Lynx Air has launched service from Halifax International Airport and will initially operate five flights per week from there to the Greater Toronto Area, alternating between Toronto Pearson International Airport and John C.
