Europe Airpost announced it will be offering flights from Halifax to Paris via Dublin beginning July 9 and continuing to Sept. 11, 2015.
Jean-Franτois Dominiak, CEO of Europe Airpost, was in Halifax to unveil details of the new flights, talking about the product and announcing a free stop over, in Dublin or in Paris, for the passengers departing from Halifax.
Dominiak said: “With this new product we are happy to offer to the passengers from Halifax, the opportunity to visit two major European capital cities, for the price of only one return trip to Europe.”

Air Canada and Brazil's GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes have entered a codeshare agreement that will make it easier for customers to connect and travel through the two airlines' networks. South African Airways’ (SAA) has resumed non-stop service on its daily flight from Johannesburg to New York-John F. Kennedy International Airport. IATA has (IATA) released its 2014 commercial aviation safety performance results. The 2014 global jet accident rate (measured in hull losses per 1 million flights) was 0.23, which was the lowest rate in history and the equivalent of one accident for every 4.4 million flights. This was an improvement over 2013 when the global hull loss rate stood at 0.41 (an average of one accident every 2.4 million flights) and also an improvement over the five-year rate (2009-2013) of 0.58 hull loss accidents per million flights jet.

In this week's digital edition of Canadian Travel Press, executive editor, Bob Mowat reports that it's been a long time – cast your mind back to the 1990s – since Air Canada has paid travel agents for booking its products on the Global Distribution Systems (GDS). As of April 1 that will all change and agents across the country will be able to earn 4% commission on GDS bookings of Air Canada's Flex, Latitude, Business Class and Premium rouge fares. Web bookings of those same fares will also pay 4%.
