Lynx Air Adds Montreal To Its Network
Lynx Air (Lynx) will add Montreal to its network from June 5, 2023, taking the total number of North American destinations served by Lynx to 15. The carrier will operate services from Montreal – Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to both Calgary International Airport (YYC) and St. John’s International Airport (YYT). Passenger Demand Stays Strong in January
The recovery in air travel demand is continuing in 2023, based on IATA’s January traffic results. Those results indicate that: Total traffic in January 2023 (measured in revenue passenger kilometres or RPKs) rose 67.0% compared to January 2022. Globally, traffic is now at 84.2% of January 2019 levels. Domestic traffic for January 2023 rose 32.7% compared to the year-ago period, helped by the lifting of the zero-COVID policy in China. To mark International Women's Day, Air Canada and CAE have announced the recipients of the 2023 Captain Judy Cameron Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to Canadian women studying to become commercial pilots or aircraft maintenance engineers.
