A WILDERNESS OPENING
The Canadian Adventure Company is now working on construction of its fly-in backcountry lodge, which will open for stays on Jan. 1, 2014 in BC's western Rocky Mountains. The Mallard Mountain Lodge will be set in the Mallard Valley, at an elevation of 1,921 metres, with a view of surrounding peaks. Starting winter 2013-2014, the Canadian Adventure Company will offer three-, four-, and seven-night adventures, winter and summer, to the fly-in lodge. HAVE MAP TOOL, WILL TRAVEL BC
People keen on travelling through British Columbia's great outdoors can now use a new mapping tool. GeoBC's topographical maps are available in a hi-rez electronic format that can be viewed on mobile devices, including tablets, smart phones and other mobile operating systems. With mobiles that are GPS-enabled, the map tool will pinpoint their locations. Users can also plot points of interest in the downloaded PDF maps. GeoBC has 7,027 maps of the province online....
