Jamaica Deal Sees 3,000 New Rooms On The Way
Following discussions with two major Spanish Hotel chains, H10 and Princess Resorts, Jamaica's minister of tourism, Edmund Bartlett, has secured US$750 million in investment that will see the construction of 3,000 new rooms in Jamaica by 2021. H10 Hotels, which will construct 1,000 new rooms in Trelawny at a value of approximately US$250 million, is a hotel chain with more than 55 hotels in 18 destinations. Riu Plaza Coming To Toronto In 2021
Riu Hotels & Resorts plans to build one of its Riu Plaza urban line hotels in Toronto. The Spanish company intends to invest around $100 million in the project, the first RIU hotel in Canada and will add continuity to the hotel company’s plan to “expand into the world’s great cities.” The project is near the end of the design phase and is set to open in 2021.
