Air India Launches 3x Weekly JFK-Mumbai Service
Air India will introduce three-times-a-week non-stop service between New York’s JFK International Airport and Mumbai, effective Dec. 7. The flights will depart at 11:05 a.m. from JFK on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays aboard 777-300ER aircraft and arrive in Mumbai at 12:10 p.m. the following day. With the current JFK-Delhi daily service, the new flights bring non-stop JFK-India service to 10 flights a week, while increasing total non-stop service from the US to India to 36 nationwide. September Traffic Growth Slows: IATA
Global passenger traffic results for September show that demand rose 5.5% compared to the same month in 2017, but slowed from the 6.4% growth recorded in August year-over-year, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Capacity climbed 5.8% and load factor slipped for the first time in eight months, down 0.3 percentage points compared to the year-earlier period, to 81.4%.
