Carnival Resumes Calls to Grand Bahama
Carnival Cruise Line will resume regular calls to Grand Bahama beginning Friday (Oct. 11) when Carnival Pride will dock in Freeport. Carnival Elation will follow on Oct. 13 and Carnival Freedom on Oct. 15. Between now and the end of the year, Carnival expects to host 39 calls in Freeport, bringing more than 100,000 visitors to the destination and providing a significant impact to the local economy. Cuba’s Tourism Industry Sound
Cuban tourism minister Manuel Marrero has dismissed suggestions that fuel shortages are plaguing parts of Cuba's tourism trade. Marrero told a Toronto audience Tuesday that the Cuban government has had to make energy adjustments this fall after the American administration moved to make it more difficult for Cuba to import oil by ship.
