Switzerland Tourism is in the midst of a North American tour and made its only Canadian stop in Toronto yesterday (April 4) hosting a “Road to Switzerland” grand gourmet media luncheon, followed by an energetic trade event highlighted by a networking session, workshops and dinner. NCL Extends Cuba Sailings Through 2018
Cuba remains hot and Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) seems to agree, announcing that it will further extend its weekly roundtrip cruises from Miami to the Caribbean nation through 2018, with 33 new voyages. The all-inclusive Norwegian Sky will begin its 2018 Cuba cruise season in March, sailing four-day roundtrip cruises from Miami, with 32 of the cruises to include an overnight stay in Havana, as well as a call on Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian’s private island in the Bahamas. Hampton by Hilton has opened its first property in Cancun, Mexico. Owned by Hoteles Parks Hospitality and managed by Hilton, Hampton Inn by Hilton Cancun Cumbres is a 141-room new build, located in Pabellon Cumbres Mall. The hotel is located 11 km from Cancun International Airport and features room with one king or two queen-sized beds and walk-in showers. Suites feature more space and a sofa bed. Riu Opens in Portugal
RIU Hotels & Resorts has reopened the ClubHotel Riu Guarana in Portugal following its renovation. The all-inclusive resort is located in the Algarve, a few metres from Praia de Falesia. The hotel's 500 rooms are spread over two buildings and were recently updated. The hotel's common spaces, such as the reception area and lobby, were also renovated as were the swimming pools – two outdoor, one indoor, and one for kids – and the Jacuzzi area.
