Sandals has introduced two new groups promotions giving travel agents (and their clients) even more reasons to book Sandals for their next group experience. Dominica’s Fort Young Hotel Set to Reopen
After experiencing devastation in the wake of Hurricane Maria, Fort Young Hotel, Dominica’s largest hotel, is planning to reopen Jan. 15, 2018, with 41 of its 72 rooms available for booking. The Riu Republica Adds Water Park, New Restaurants
RIU Hotels & Resorts has expanded the range of amenities of its five-star adults-only hotel on Arena Gorda Beach in Punta Cana. The Riu Republica opened a little over a year ago and the chain decided to expand its amenities by adding an exclusive water park, Splash Water World, and four new a la carte restaurants, three swimming pools and 300 new rooms. Caravelle Hotel To Close For Renovations
St. Croix, US Virgin Islands' Caravelle Hotel & Casino will temporarily close on April 30, 2018 to complete renovations due to damage caused by Hurricane Maria, a rare, maximum-strength Category 5 storm that hit the island Sept. 20. As a landing place for emergency personnel, the Caravelle is continuing to house relief workers as they work to repair infrastructure around the island.
