AMResorts reports that 2018 was another year of “explosive growth” for its “robust” travel agent loyalty program, AMRewards. Over 38,000 travel agents registered for the program, shattering previous participation records with a 27% increase year over year in bookings entered. Riu Plaza Coming To Toronto In 2021
Riu Hotels & Resorts plans to build one of its Riu Plaza urban line hotels in Toronto. The Spanish company intends to invest around $100 million in the project, the first RIU hotel in Canada and will add continuity to the hotel company’s plan to “expand into the world’s great cities.” The project is near the end of the design phase and is set to open in 2021. Booking.com has released the seventh edition of its annual Guest Review Awards, which includes a list of Canada's most welcoming places.
